How Woyofal calculates a top-up
- 1
The month determines the band
kWh purchased since the start of the month are accumulated. The tariff counter resets at the beginning of the next month.
- 2
Deductions come before electricity
Municipal tax, the monthly fee and any debt reduce the portion converted into kWh.
- 3
The price changes at each threshold
One top-up may be split across bands. Each kWh keeps the price of the band where it falls.
- 4
There is no third Woyofal energy rate
Beyond the second threshold, the second energy rate continues. For DPP, 18% VAT is added above 250 kWh.
Woyofal schedule effective 1 January 2026
Thresholds and rates come from CRSE Decision 2025-140. Amounts are CFA francs per kWh.

| Home · medium power (DMP) | 0–50 kWh 111,23 F | 51–300 kWh 143,54 F | > 300 kWh 143,54 F |

Tips that materially affect the result
Track kWh as well as money
Keep every receipt and add the kWh purchased during the month. Money alone cannot identify your exact band.
Check the category
DPP, DMP, PPP and PMP use different thresholds. A professional meter in a home changes the result.
Allow for the monthly fee
The first top-up may buy fewer kWh because the fee is deducted then. Several unpaid fees may be recovered after a long absence.
Splitting payments does not restart band one
The system accumulates monthly kWh. Four purchases do not create four social bands.
Compare the receipt
Check category, prior monthly kWh, fees, debt and emergency credit before treating a difference as an error.
Use the meter codes
Codes 801, 813, 814 and 820 show balance and consumption.

What the evidence supports
CRSE found that most reviewed transactions respected the tariff, alongside marginal irregularities and major comprehension gaps when purchases are grouped or widely spaced.
Estimate limits
The model cannot see your Senelec history, debt, credit, discount or internal rounding. VAT above 250 kWh is included for DPP, the case Senelec explicitly documents. For other categories, verify the tax on the receipt.
